IRVINE SOLAR PROGRAM

Participants are eligible for cash-back incentives through November 18th, 2011

Launched August 2011, this Program has been created to encourage the creation of a strong solar community within the City of Irvine. Participants are able to go solar for as little as $0 upfront. In order to create a critical mass, residential and commercial property owners who partake can receive substantial cash-back incentives in addition to the State rebate and Federal tax credit. This program was created by Sullivan Solar Power for the residents of Irvine. To learn more about this Irvine exclusive program, attend the Solar Luncheon on Saturday, October 15th at 11 am in the Irvine City Hall, located at 1 Civic Center Plaza.

Solar power systems are measured in watts. To the left, you will find how many solar watts have been committed to install in the community to date. The Irvine Solar Program is designed to encourage as many residents as possible to go solar. Those who sign up first will receive the greatest community incentives.

The first 50,000 Watts (~10 Homes) = 7% Cash-Back Incentive

The next 50,000 Watts (~10 homes) = 5% Cash-Back Incentive

The next 100,000 Watts (~20 homes) = 3% Cash-Back Incentive

If residents commit to install 200,000 Watts or more, all participants will receive an additional 3% cash-back incentive.

The average system for a home is 5,000 Watts. Those who sign up in the first phase of the program, the initial 50,000 Watts, or roughly 10 homes, will receive a payment equal to 7% of the contract amount in the form of a check after installations have been completed. Once Irvine residents reach the first milestone of 50,000 Watts, the cash-back incentive is reduced. The next 50,000 Watts of Irvine solar adopters will receive the second phase of incentives at 5% after their systems are installed. At 100,000 Watts sold, the cash-back incentive is reduced again to 3% for the third phase. If Irvine residents commit to install 200,000 Watts or more, all participants will receive an additional 3% in cash-back incentives.

To be eligible for the Irvine Solar Program, you must sign a contract with Sullivan Solar Power by 11:59 pm on November 18th, 2011 and those who sign up early, save the most. Watts Distribution in Irvine
